Monument to the Sacrifices for Art>

작가는 연미산 자연 미술공원내의 폐목자재를 예술을 위해 희생된 자연의 부산물로 인식한다. 작품은 피라미드 구조물 안에 폐목자재들과 흙을 쌓아 놓고 시간에 따라 자연으로 다시 회귀하며 나타나는 새로운 생명을 기대해 보는 수행성(On Going) 프로젝트다.

The artist collects dead trees in the Yeonmisan Nature Art Park, select some of them, and numbers in order to give a new meaning to the dead nature, and converts the nature into the context of his new art by structuring them in a pyramid form with soil. This process is an ongoing project that embodies the cycle of life between art and nature by returning artworks to nature again over time.
