자연이 사람들에 의해 파괴되는 과정을 통해서 자기방어 체계를 형성하는 것이 ‘가시덤불’이다. 흔히, 사람들은 가시를 공격의 도구로 생각하는데 자연의 가시는 공격이 아닌 자기방어를 위해서 만들어낸 고통의 산물이다. 환경 파괴가 이루어지면 질수록 자연은 더 많은 덤불을 만들어내고 더 많은 가시를 만들어 낸다. 생태교란종이라고 불리는 가시박, 환삼덩굴, 칡덩굴......은 제거 대상 일 순위로 지정되었지만, 이것은 인간의 기준일 뿐 자연의 관점에서 다시 한번 생각해 볼 반론의 대상이다.

내 작업을 통해서 대중에게 보여주고 싶은 것은 인간 위주의 자연 파괴가 아니라 자연의 관점에서 생태교란종이라 불리는 모든 것들이 그만한 존재 가치가 있고 그 개체수가 많아지는 이유가 있음에 대해서 다시 한번 이야기하고 싶음이다.  

생태교란종으로 분류되어 제거 대상으로만 다루어지는 개체 종들에 대해 새로운 관점으로, 사라져가는 동식물들의 재생과 재구성의 변화는 사람의 잘못된 ‘사람 위주의 관점의 변화’로부터 다시 시작된다. 

변화된 관점의 시선에서 표현된 대형 작품 설치를 통해 관람객이 재탄생된 자연 속에서 새로운 관점으로 자연에 대한 접근법을 보며 스스로 관점의 변화를 일으킬 수 있는 것을 유도한다. 

It is the ‘thorn bush’ that forms a self-defense system through the process of nature being destroyed by people. Often, people think of thorns as a tool of attack, but nature's thorns are a product of suffering created for self-defense rather than attack. The more destruction of the environment, the more bushes and more thorns nature produces. Thorn gourd, ginseng vine, and arrowroot vine, which are called ecological disturbance species, were designated as the top priority for removal, but they are only a standard for approval and are a subject of objection to reconsider from the point of view of nature.

What I want to show the public through my work is not to destroy nature centered on humans, but to talk once again about all the things called ecological disturbance species from the point of view of nature. 

With a new perspective on the species classified as ecological disturbances and treated only as objects to be removed, the change of regeneration and reconstruction of disappearing plants and animals starts again from the wrong ‘human-centered perspective change’. 

Through the installation of large-scale works expressed from the perspective of a changed point of view, it induces the viewer to see an approach to nature from a new point of view in the reborn nature and to cause a change of point of view on their own.
