Breath

폴란드동부 stary bubel의 Bug강변에 수평으로 자라는 버드나무 위에 나뭇가지를 엮어 만든 작품이다. 폴란드와 벨로루시 두 나라의 국경이 강 가운데 위치하고 강은 바다로 흘러간다. 작품 안에서 주변을 둘러보면서 정치적이거나 물리적 혹은 마음속 ‘경계’를 생각하는 장소를  만들었다.

It is the artwork made of woven branches of willow tree growing horizontally on the shore of the Bug River at Stary Bubel in eastern Poland. The borderline between Poland and Belarus passes along the center of the river, and the river flows into the sea. Looking around from inside the artwork, the artist created a place where one can think of political, physical, or mental 'borderline'.

Breath

탄광이 문을 닫고 그 자리에 물이 채워져 커다란 호수가 된 곳이다.
보이지 않지만 물속 어딘가에 있었던 탄광을 떠올리며, 광부들의 고된 노동과 힘들었던 삶을 상상하면서 호수에 물방울모양의 쉼터를 만들었다.

It is what has become a lake after an abandoned mine was filled with water. Thinking of the mine which must exist somewhere under the lake surface, and hard labor and difficult lives of miners, the artist created a resting place with the form of a water drop on the lake.

겨울저녁,  자라섬에 초승달을 만들었다.

n a winter evening, the artist built a crescent at the Jara Island.
