​<자연으로 돌아가기 Back to Nature>

정육면체는 자연에서 자연스러운 형태가 아니다. 정육면체는 사람들이 무엇을 보관하기 위해 쌓아두거나 건축적 목적에서 사용되는 경우가 많다. 반면에, 원은 자연에서 어디서나 발견할 수 있다. 이 프로젝트에서 나는 인공적인 것을 나타내기 위해 정육면체를 사용한다. 그리고 자연과 결부한 유기적인 원형으로 돌아간다. 조립식으로 만들어 땅 표면에 잘 맞을 것이지만, 완벽한 형태는 아니다. 나는 의도적으로 정육면체를 자연이 그 위로 관통하여 그 사이로 지나갈 수 있는 구조를 제작하였다.

The cube is an unusual shape in nature. It is more likely to be used by human beings to pile up for storage or for construction purposes. The circle, on the other hand, can be found everywhere in nature. In this project, I use the cube as structure to refer to what is human made, and go back to the organic circular shape which I relate to nature. By making it modular, it will adapts to the ground´s surface and will not be perfect. It is intentionally made as structure to allow nature to go on, through and in between.
