​<크로마 자연 Chroma Nature>

나는 ‘크로마 자연’ 설치 작품에서 지구의 환경 파괴에 대한 예고를 한다. 이 프로젝트에서는 녹색 크로마를 선택한 것이 지구의 현재와 미래에 대한 고찰과 추측의 기회로 작용한다. 크로마의 사용은 중립 공간을 모사하는 예술적 제스처로서, 관람객들이 설치된 사물의 진짜 기원에 대해 의문을 품게 만든다. 크로마네이처는 크로마녹색 페인트를 사용해 조작한 유기물을 제시하고 숲 등 자연구조물에 추가하는 등 가능한 '바이오닉 기술'을 통해 용도 개념을 비판적으로 조사할 수 있도록 설계된 현장 고유의 조형 시설물이다. 페인트칠된 물건들은 나무로 만들어질 것이다. 즉, 그것들이 부착될 나무들과 같은 물질성을 가질 것이다.

크로마 기술은 다른 이미지에 의해 대치될 수 있는 표준적인 색을 사용한다. 예술가들은 크로마 그린의 사용을 두 가지 의미를 가진 것으로 본다: 첫째는 중립성이고, 둘째는 상호 간의 차원성 (inter-dimensionality)이다. 한편, 이것은 인식 가능한 대상을 소원하게 한다는 것이고, 다른 한편 대표될 수 있는 다른 대상이 된다는 의미이다.

기술과 자연이 융합되고 방문객의 윤리와 상식에 호소하는 비전을 제시해 크로마에서 새로운 환경 인식을 투영할 기회를 제공하는 제안서다. 집단적 기후 인식뿐만 아니라 새로운 경험을 할 수 있도록 예술적 플랫폼을 활용하는 것이 이 사업의 목적이다.

Hipolito presents in the chroma nature installation, a premonition of the planetary environment decay. In this project, the choice of use of green chroma acts as an opportunity for contemplation and speculation about the present and future on planet Earth. The use of chroma is an artistic gesture that simulates a neutral space, leading the viewer to question the true origin of the installed objects. chroma nature is a site specific sculptural installation designed to critically investigate the concept of appropriation through a possible "bionic technology", by presenting organic objects manipulated by the use of chroma green paint and adding them to natural structures, such as, a forest. The painted objects will be made of wood, that is, of the same materiality as the trees where they will be attached.

Chroma technology uses a standard color which can be replaced by any other image. The use of chroma green is seen by the artist as having a double meaning:the first being that of neutrality and the second, interdimensionality. On the one hand, it thus suggests the estrangement of a recognisable object, on the other hand, it opens up the possibility of being any other object that can be represented.

The proposal serves a place where technology and nature merge and proposes a vision that appeals to the visitor's ethics and common sense, thus allowing the possibility, in chroma, to project a new environmental perception. The aim of the project is not only to use the artistic platform for collective climate awareness but also to enable a new experience.
