​<대화와 선형(線型) 시간 Conversations and Linear Time>

이 작품은 선형(線型) 시간의 모델인 비대칭적 구도를 가진 설치작품이다.

어느 한 시점에서 과거가 미래가 된다.

이 구도는 미래가 과거가 되기 때문에 상징적이다.

과거는 현재와 미래에 정보를 준다.

우리가 미래를 바라볼 때, 멀리 생각할수록 우리가 아는 것은 줄어든다.

우리가 과거를 돌아볼 때도, 오래된 것일수록 우리의 역사 지식은 줄어든다.

이 작품은 균형 잡힌 생태계의 세상에서 살기 위해서 우리에게 필요한 대화에 관한 것이다. 어떻게 하면 우리가 자연과 더 잘 살 수 있는가?

작품 속 조각들은 대화를 상징하는 것이고, 더 나은 미래를 계획하는 것이다.

작품에서 조각들과 중간에 있는 나무에 사용한 색깔은 상징적이다.

우리는 기후변화, 멸종, 환경오염, 코로나 유행과 같은 큰 이슈들을 해결할 가치들을 재정립하고 발전시킬 수 있는가?

이 작품에서 대화는 우리가 자연에 대한 착취에서 대화를 통해 균형 있는 생태계로 나아갈 방법에 대한 것이다.

This work is an installation with an asymmetrical frame which is a model for linear time.

Through a point in time the past becomes the future.

The frame is symbolic in this work as that point the future becomes the past.

The past Informs the present and the future.

As we look toward the future we know less the further we look.

As we look to the past historical knowledge diminishes with time.

This work is about the conversation we all need to have to live in a world with a balanced ecology. How do we work better with nature.

The figures are symbolic of conversation and planning for a better future.

Colour is used symbolically through the work, botrh on the figures and on the center trees.

How do we reestablish and develop values that confront and solveissues questions and courses of action around climate change, extinction, pollution and the Covid pandemic to name a few issues.

This work talks is about how to move from exploitation of nature to working with a balanced ecology through conversation that need to be had.
