​<옹기 사이클 Onggi Cycle>

옹기의 라이프 사이클을 인간과 야생 환경 사이의 조화로운 관계에 대한 상징적인 현상으로 표현할 것이다. 다음과 같은 요소들이 이 퍼포먼스에서는 강조된다.

- 퍼포먼스로 옹기의 탄생을 표현한다. 여기에서 전통적 기술과 현대의 예술표현들이 만난다.

이 퍼포먼스는 사람 크기의 옹기를 만드는 것이다. 세 명의 예술가들이 공동으로 작업하는 과정에서 4가지 기본 요소들을 이용해 옹기가 만들어지는 여러 단계에서 창조적이고 영향력 있는 과정을 보여준다.

- 참여자들은 옹기의 다양한 형태와 기능을 나누고 전달한다.

- 제작상의 결함이나 사용하다가 손상된 옹기를 버리고, 버린 옹기들이 다시 자연으로 돌아가는 과정이 환경예술로써 표현된다.

- 마지막으로 옹기의 짧은 삶과 옹기가 자연 속에서 분해되는 과정을 부각할 것이다.

이 설치작품은 인간, 옹기, 자연 - 옹기는 자연에서 와서, 자연에 의존해 살다가, 자연으로 되돌아간다 - 사이의 조화롭고 역동적인 관계에서 물리적, 상징적, 영적 연결 관계를 만들 것이다.

작업은 여러 가지 차원으로 구성된다:

- 1/ 만남 (예술가들과 청중들)

- 2/ 참여 (참여적, 사회적 차원)

- 3/ 퍼포먼스 (여러 형태의 예술적 창작)

- 4/ 환경 예술 작품의 설치

- 5/ 여러 단계의 창작과 모임을 동영상으로 사진으로 촬영

The life cycle of an onggi will be represented as a symbolic phenomenon, of the harmonious relationship between humans and wild environment.

It will be valued in this cycle:

-The creation of an onggi, in a performance, where traditional technique and contemporary artistic expressions will meet.

This performance will make it possible to create a sculpture, based on the creation of a human-sized onggi. In this physical and collective action with three artists, the different stages of ceramics will reveal the creative and powerful relationship of this art in connection with the four elements, in the search for the quintessence.

-The diversity of forms and functions of the onggi will be shared and transmitted during a participatory collection.

-The recycling and rewilding of discarded parts, due to manufacturing defect, or damaged used parts, will be upgraded in the environmental artwork.

-Finally, the ephemeral and biodegradable nature of the onggi will be valued.

This installation will make the physical, symbolic and spiritual link between the human, the onggi and the environment(from which they come, from which they depend and to which they will return), in a harmonious and vitality relationship.
