​<화려함 뒤 또 다른 화려함 After the Splendor, Another Splendor> 

o 쓰다 버린 스카프 등 화려한 칼라의 실크천 몇백 개를 모았다. 주로 북아프리카에서 구했지만, 인도, 남미, 유럽과 한국에서도 수집했다. 이걸 주어진 숲속 공간 이곳저곳에 두루 설치한다. 걸친다. 꼰다. 뭉친다. 맨다. 감는다. 펼친다. 꿰맨다. 파묻는다. 뒹군다. 밟힌다. 흔들린다. 바람과 햇볕이 닿는다. 시간의 때가 묻는다. 이것은 짠하거나 수줍다. 그리하여 화려했고 화려하고 또 다른 화려함은 계속된다.

o 옛날부터 현대까지 울긋불긋한 세계의 색채는 하나로 통해 보인다. 이는 기원이거나 뽐내는 것이면서도 쓰임새가 무엇보다 실생활이다. 그래서 이 원색의 천 작업은 그럴싸하게 꾸미지 않아도 화려함이 있고, 동시에 원시적 소박함이 삶의 모습과 흔적으로 나타내어질 것이다.

o 경험의 색채

o I have collected hundreds of used silk clothes with splendid colors including scarves. Most of them are from North Africa, but some of them are also from India, South America, Europe, and Korea. I display them here and there in the wood. They are hung, twisted, lumped, knotted, wrapped, spread, stitched, buried, rolled, trampled, or shaken. They get dirt of time. The scene is melancholy or shy. They were splendid, are splendid, and will continue to be splendid.

o From ancient times to the current age, all the picturesque colors have common element. They have been used to pray or boast, but they have also been practical in daily life. Therefore, the works with colorful clothes look splendid even if we do not try to. But, at the same time, they will show primitive humbleness as the features and relics of daily life.
