​<불가사리 Starfish>

나에게 제안된 불가사리라는 주제는 상징적이고 물리적으로 재활성화라는 아이디어를 대표하는 작품을 생각하게 했다.

불가사리는 세계의 모든 바다에 산다. 불가사리는 상징적 의미가 많이 있다. 불가사리는 재생, 다양성, 재생산을 나타낸다. 불가사리는 자기 생산적일 뿐만 아니라 가치와 상징을 담고 있는 것으로 또한 삶의 개선과 관련된 시각을 가진 것으로 취급된다. 불가사리는 외부의 공격이나 사고로 5개의 팔 중 하나를 잃게 되면 똑같은 것을 재생성할 수 있다. 자연에서 이것은 역경을 이기고 재활하는 완벽한 예가 된다.

설치작품은 바닥에 누워 있는 큰 불가사리 모양을 하고 있다. 불가사리를 닮은 모습으로, 나무 둥치과 가지들을 가지고 중앙부는 높고, 팔의 끝으로 갈수록 낮아지는 형태로 만든다.

관계, 생물 다양성, 그리고 재활이라는 아이디어에 맞게 이 작품은 살아 있고, 관람객들을 초대하는 작품이며, 안전한 구조물이다. 그 위에 앉을 수도 있고, 누워 잠시 쉴 수도 있다. 아이들은 위에 올라갈 수도 있다.

The proposed theme prompted me to think of a work that could be truly lived, so I imagined a work that symbolically and physically represented an idea of revitalization.

The starfish is present in all the seas and oceans of the world, symbolically it has many meanings, it represents renewal, diversity and regeneration, but not only as an autopoietic subject, but also a bearer of values, signs and perspectives of enhancement, of life When the starfish loses one of the five arms, due to any external attack or accident, it has the ability to regenerate it identical to the previous one. In nature it is a perfect example of endurance in adversity and revitalization.

The art installation has the shape of a large starfish lying on the ground, it's composed of the combination of trunks and branches cut at decreasing heights from the center towards the tips, creating a texture that recalls the morphology of the starfish.

It's a living and welcoming work, to suggest the idea of relationships, biodiversity and revitalization. It's safe for people, and you can even sit or lie on it, to rest for a while. Children can climb it.
