어린 시절을 기억하자면, 시골 사람들은 자연 재료들을 이용해 간단한 덫을 만들어 작은 동물들이나 곤충들을 잡곤 했다. 하지만, 이와 같은 단순한 재미도 오늘날 도시 생활에서는 사라져버렸다. 사람들은 자연에서 멀어졌고 철골과 시멘트에 갇혀 사는 대신에 자신을 먹잇감으로 만들어버렸다.

본 작품을 통해, 나는 “뒤집힌 역할들”끼리의 관계를 보여주고, 기억 속의 간단한 덫을 다시 크게 만들어 보기를 원했으나, 이번에는 간단하지만 내가 잊었던 것과 인간과 자연간의 관계를 담아내고자 한다.

Remembering when I was a children, in rural areas people will use the nature materials to make simple traps to capture small animals or insects. However, the simple interest like that has disappeared in the urban life today. People were far away from nature and confined themselves in reinforcing steels and cements, but instead make themselves become preys.

Through this work, I want to show the relationship between "roles overturn", to reproduce and enlarge the simple trap in memory, but this time I want to capture just the simple but forgotten by myself and the relationship of human to nature.
