살아 있는 이미지 프로젝트

나는 가장 넓은 의미에서 사진술을 함께 사용하는 작가이며, 아날로그와 디지털 과정, 자연 소재를 다 사용한다. 나는 사진술이란 무엇인가, 사진술은 무엇이 될 수 있는가에 대한 관념들을 확장시키는 이미지와 대상을 만들기 위해서 빛의 잠재력과 사진술의 기계적인 요소들을 가지고 작업한다.

2016년 금강자연미술비엔날레를 위하여, 나는 금강 근처 숲 속에 암실(Camera Obscura)을 하나 제작한다. 이 작품에서 빛은 나의 재료이다. 카메라는, 순간순간 변하는 자연을 반영하고, 주변의 환경과 교류할 기회를 제공하는, 끊임 없이 변하는 살아있는 이미지를 제공한다.

The Living Image project

I am an artist working with photography in its broadest sense, using analogue and digital processes, natural materials and camera less methods of image making. I work with the potential of light and the mechanics of photography to make images and objects that expand upon notions of what photography is and can be.

For GNAB 2016 I’m constructing a Camera Obscura in the forest above the Geumgangriver. Light is my raw material in this artwork. The camera presents a living image that is constantly in flux, reflecting the momentary changes in nature and providing an opportunity for interaction with the surrounding environment.
