비밀정원

대자연은 우리에게 당신이 아주 어릴 때부터 시작해야만 나무가 옆으로 자라도록 기르는 것을 허락하기 때문에, 결과를 얻기 전까지 오랫동안 비밀계획-비밀정원-을 간직한 ‘수평적 정원사’가 되어야 한다.설치 작품은 갈림길에 선 인간 혹은 두 길 사이의 선택에 관한 매우 고전적이고 오래된 신화를 형상화하기 위해 전통적 일본 정원 기술을 혼용한다. 여기 전략적 장소에 자리한 한 식물이 있다: 한쪽에는 자연적으로 성장하는 그늘에, 또 한 쪽에는 인간의 소망에 의해 수정되어 보다 잘 자라나는 그늘에.

Secret Garden

Because Mother Nature allows us to train trees to grow horizontally only if you start at very young age, be an horizontal gardener means to keep a secret plan - a secret garden - for long time before getting results. The installation mixes the traditional Japanese garden technique to figure the very classical antique myth of the man at the crossroads, and the choice between two paths. Here a plant stays at this strategic location: on one side the shadow of its natural growth, on the other one the shadow of its further growth modified by human wishes.
