둥지 The Nest

‘지구에 대해 묻기’에서, 제임스 조지는 “우리는 지배적인 문화 즉 객관적 의미에서 반-문화를 가지고 있는데, 이는 반-문화가 실제로(이론적이 아닌) 자연의 질서에 반하기 때문이다’라고 썼다. 이런 인식 구조 안에서, 사람은 21세기 도시 성장 역동성이라는 끊임없는 이데올로기적 패러다임을 주장하면서 인간이 지배하는 복잡한 상황을 만들어내는 것을 산산이 부숴버리고, 고립시키고, 그리고 끊임없이 위협하고, 현지의 그리고 지구적 생태계의 기능에 그리고 생태계가 인간에게 제공하는 서비스에 그리고 지구 상의 다른 생명체에 상당하게 영향을 미친다. 이 사회-공간적 이동을 비판적으로 반성하는 것 또한 쇠퇴라는 두서없는 함정들로부터의 탈출을 의미할 뿐만 아니라 질문의 배경을 일시적 궤도에서 실행가능한 목적들을 달성하기 위한 인식의 해방적 기록으로 바뀔 가능성이 있음을 의미한다. 이는 자연이야말로 공격과 파괴 본능에 맞서는 생존본능의 원천이고 장소이기 때문이다. 산업화, 세계화, 이민, 등등은 모두 이에 대한 이유들이며, 인구 급증 및 급속한 도시화와 함께 자연 자원들에게 가해지는 강한 압력으로 인해 도시들은 자급자족 능력의 급속한 쇠퇴라는 경계선까지 내몰리고 있다. 환경에 지속적으로 부정적 영향을 주는, 특히 도시 사람들의 소비 행태 변화가 초래하는 생태적 발자국의 증가로 인해 자연은 끊임없이 도전에 직면하고 있다.

자연 – 사적 공간 – 셸터 전시회에 출품하는 내 작품은 자연으로 돌아가기, 자연적인 삶, 제한적인 소비와 지속 가능성이라는 중대한 이데올로기적 관점에서 출발한다. 내가 만들고자 하는 셸터는 주로 대나무로 만든 커다란 새 둥지처럼 생길 것이고 구조는 진흙/대나무 오두막 같은 구조가 될 것이다. 지속 가능한 삶의 비유

In Asking For The Earth, James George writes: “We have a dominant culture that is, in an objective sense a counter-culture, because it is, in practice (if not in theory), against the order of Nature.” Within these structures of perception one can argue the incessant ideological paradigm of the urban growth dynamics of the 21stcentury which fragments, isolates and constantly threatens to generate complex human-dominated landscapes, which significantly influence the functioning of local and global earth ecosystems and the services they provide to humans and other life on earth. To critically reflect on this socio-spatial-shift will only also mean to exit from such discursive traps of decline and a possibility to shift ground of the question from a temporal trajectory to an emancipatory recoding of perception to meet viable ends. since nature is the source and locus of the life instincts which struggle against the instincts of aggression and destruction.” Industrialisation, globalisation, migration, etc are the all the many reasons for this for this extreme pressure created on natural resources coupled with the burgeoning human population and rapid urbanisation across the world which are pushing the borderlines of an accelerating decline of their self-sustaining abilities . nature is constantly facing challenges due to an increase in the ecological footprint from the changing consumption behaviour, particularly of those residing in cities as it continues to negatively impact the environment.

My project on , nature – private space – shelter , takes off from this crucial ideological viewpoint of going back to nature , natural living , limited consumption and sustainability . the shelter I would like to make would look like a huge nest made mainly of bamboo and another a mud /bamboo hut like structure . metaphor of sustainable living
