다양하게 비치는 상들

금강자연미술비엔날레를 위해 만들 내 작품은 자연 존재 과정의 본질을 보여주는 것이다. 작품은 자연과 관계 맺음에 의해서만 완성될 수 있다. 물에 비친 상이 작품의 전체적인 완전한 모습을 만들어내기 때문이다. 비춰진 상은 단지 대칭적인 미적 효과일 뿐만 아니라 자연의 중요성에 대한 우리의 생각의 반영이기도 하다. 이 조각작품의 모든 요소들은 최종적 효과를 얻는데 필요한 균형을 이루며 서로 연결되어 있다. 요소들간의 관계는 우리 행성에 존재하는 모든 요소들, 식물과 동물, 인간 사이의 의존성을 상징한다. 하나의 요소라도 빠지면 그 구조는 더이상 완전하지 않고 그 균형이 깨진다. 이 작품의 균형과 미는 요소들의 존재 특히 각각의 대립 인자들에 의존하며, 그것은 자연의 물리적 생물학적 법칙에 기반한 관계의 연결망으로서 제작된 것이다. 씨앗은 흙과 물, 태양빛 없이 식물이 될 수 없다. 아이가 물과 음식, 보살핌 없이 성인이 될 수 없듯이.

Multiple Reflective Reflections

My project for the Geumgang Nature Art Biennale represents the essence of nature's process of its own existence The artwork is completed only by it's relation with nature, since the reflection on the water creates it's full and complete shape. The reflection isn't only a symmetrical aesthetic effect, but indicates as well the reflection as our minds thought about nature's importance. All the elements of the sculpture are related to each other in a balanced structure, necessary to obtain the final effect. This relation symbolizes the dependency between every element present in our planet, as it happens with plants, animals and humans. If an element is missing, the structure is no longer complete and it's equilibrium distorted. The balance and aesthetic of the work is dependent by the presence of any element and especially by it's respective opposite, therefor It is composed as a network of relations based on nature's physical and biological laws. The seed can't become plant without earth, water and sunlight as the kid can't become man without water, food and carefulness.
