위로 솟아야 할 산수는 옆으로 무심하게 놓여 있다. 시작과 끝을 알 수 없는 폭포는 자연의 한결같음을 보여주며 그 앞에 선 인간의 가치를 되돌아보게 하였다. 산과 폭포가 중력을 벗어나 뉘어 있는 모습에 산수의 모습이 정상인지, 인간의 모습이 정상인지 돌아보고자 하였다. 비틀어진 공간 속에 인간의 위치와 모습을 돌아보고자 하였다.

Horizontally growing mountain

The horizontally growing tree demonstrates an unconventional, gravity-defying movement in its maturation phase. In contrast, the objects moving about the tree adhere to the standard laws of gravity. Although the tree’s maturation process and its movement appear constrained to a horizontal plane on screen, semantically they represent the crossing over of the standard and nonstandard motions through which the images are constructed, transcending the boundary between nature and civilization.
