평화기계 Peace Machine

이 프로젝트는 유럽과 전 세계에 큰 변화를 초래한, 내 조국의 최근 역사에서 영감을 받았다. 한쪽에선 끝없는 전쟁이 발발하고, 다른 한편에선 평화를 위한 노력이 진행된다.

평화를 유지하기 위한 과정은 조용하고 해가 없다. 나선의 순환적 형태는 우주와 영구적 움직임, 에너지, 변형을 나타내는 전형적 상징이다.

그것은 예측불가능하고, 충격적이며, 파괴적인 동시에, 평화롭게 창조적이며 상징적이기도 하다. 나의 프로젝트는 점점 커져가고 확대되는 평화에 대해 인간이 갖는 기본적 생각들을 담고 있다.

나의 평화기계 프로젝트는 공간에서 일어나는 요소들의 증식을 바탕으로 한다. 이 프로젝트는 순환적 형태와 나선의 움직임을 포함한다. 다섯 개의 동일한 구획들이 둥근 차축에 의해 하나로 결합한다. 엄밀히 말하면, 모든 요소들과 구획들은 현장에서 쉽게 조립이 가능하며, 이동을 위해 또 쉽게 해체될 수 있다. 비록 대규모의 작품이지만, 그리 어렵지 않게 장소에 변화를 줄 수 있다. 나는 돌과 금속, 나무, 플렉시 유리, 건축용 아크릴 판넬이나 스티로폼을 재료로 사용할 수 있다. 재료의 입수 여부와 프로젝트의 운반 여부에 따라 달라질 것이다.

장소에 대한 맥락과 관계는 시시때때로 달라질 수 있기 때문에, 조형물의 이동성은 매우 중요하다. 평화기계는 완전히 다른 의미를 내포할 수 있다. 공공장소와 도시 환경, 열린 공간이나 자연 속을 예로 들 수 있다. 원거리인지 혹은 가까운 근거리인지에 따라 다른 표현이 생성될 수 있다.

이 프로젝트의 커다란 사이즈(높이 약 3.5 – 4.0미터) 덕분에, 관람객들은 조형물의 한 부분이 되거나, 공간으로 걸어 들어가 다른 쪽으로 나오거나, 혹은 상징적으로 경계를 넘는 방식으로 조형물과의 상호작용을 경험하게 된다.

Project inspired by the latest history of my country, big changes in Europe and within the World. Infinite war from one side and a big force of making peace from the other side.

Sometimes the peace making process is quiet harmless. The circular shape of the spiral is the archetypal symbol of the universe, permanent movement, energy and transformation.

It could be unpredictable. devastating, destructive as well as creative1 peacefully and symbolic at the same time. My project contain basic human thoughts about the idea of the peace which could get bigger, be spread and all come around.

My Peace Machine Project is based on multiplication of elements in the space. Circular shape and spiral movement is incorporated into the idea of the project. Five identical sections are joined together by the round axle. Technically every element and alt sections could be easily assembled on the site, and after the time quickly taken apart for the transportation. It can change the place with no difficulties even if this would be a large scale object. I can build out of stone slaps, steel, wood, plexiglas, construction acrylic panels or styrofoam.. Depending on the availability of the material and possibility of transportation of the project.

This is very important that the sculpture could be transferable, movable because every time will change the context and the relation to the place. The Peace Machine would have completely different meaning for example in the public area, the urban environment the open space or within the nature. It would give different expression from the distance as well as from the close contact.

The size of the project (about 3.5 - 4.0m high) will give the visitors the opportunity of interaction with the sculpture, be part of it, walk into the space, go under it to the other side and symbolically cross the border.
