“정적인” 삶의 방식에도 불구하고, 식물들은 다양한 다세포 수용체들 (receptors) 사이의 연결 관계를 맺은 극히 민감한 유기체들이다. 이러한 연결 관계는 운동 작동체 (locomotor effectors), 신체 기억, 대상의 구별과 인지, 다양한 대상들과 새로운 관계 (신호 관계) 설정과 관련된다. 서로를 구별할 줄 아는 식물들은 (우정과 동료 의식을 통해서) “연맹을 맺고,” 공동의 영토를 방어하고, 새로운 영토를 정복할 줄도 안다. ‘숲 전체 망’은 이러한 지하 연결망에 대한 하나의 별명이다. 이러한 과학적 개념에 따라, 우리는 자연을 서로 소통할 줄 알고, 하나의 환경을 가진 많은 존재로 구성된 살아 있는 유기체로 생각하기를 원한다.

우리는 인간과 다른 동식물들이 교류하는 방법들 사이의 평행관계들을 묘사하기 위해 예술적 언어, 그래픽 상징들, 영웅들, 상징을 사용한다. 설치 작품 ‘숲 전체 망’은 천과 에폭시 수지로 코팅 처리를 한 그래픽 크로니클로 만들어진 리본-모양의 구조물이다.

설치 작품은 몇 그루의 나무들 위에 높이 설치하여, 새로운 연결 층을 시각적으로 보여준다. 이 층은 우리에게 식물들이 서로 기호를 주고받는 현실을 상기시켜주는 그 감추어지는 과정과 연결을 상징적으로 보여준다.

Despite their "static" lifestyle, plants are extremely sensitive organisms that have connections between various multicellular receptors, which are associated with locomotor effectors, body memory, the distinction and recognition of objects, and the construction of new relationships(sign relationships) with various objects. Able to distinguish themselves from each other, plants can "make alliances" (through friendship and comradeship), defend their territory, reflect it and conquer a new one. 'Wood wide web' is a nickname for this underground network of connections. Based on this scientific concept, we want to think of Nature as a living organism that consists of many beings. Beings, who can communicate with each other and with an environment.

We use our artistic language, graphic symbols, heroes, and symbols to draw parallels between the ways human and non-human beings interact. Our installation ‘Wood Wide Web’ is a ribbon-like structure made of a fabric canvas with a graphic chronicle, coated with an epoxy resin.

Installation is mounted high on trees, visualizing a new visible layer of connection. This layer symbolizes the very hidden processes and connections that allow us to think about the semiotic reality of plants.
