​<싹튼 심장 - 나무 씨앗들 Sprouted Heart - Tree Seeds> 

이 작품은 ‘싹튼 심장 - 나무 씨앗들’이라는 설치 작품이다.

이 씨앗들은 인간의 감정과 자연이 재생할 수 있는 능력의 결합에 기초를 둔 새롭게 혼합된 품종들이다.

세 개의 작품들은 발아의 세 단계를 나타낸다. 이 작품들은 인간의 심장과 발아한 씨앗을 결합한다. 시멘트 씨앗 내부에서는 가느다란 나무라든지 큰 가지들이 새로운 나무 표본처럼 나타난다. 새로운 시대의 나무 씨앗들 속에서 인간의 감정이 싹튼다.

많은 과학자는 식물의 감정을 연구한다: 식물은 기후, 토양, 물의 변화에 어떻게 반응하는가; 식물들은 하나의 공동체로서 서로 어떻게 소통하는가? 어떤 식물들은 서로 연결하고, 또 분리되기 위하여 뿌리를 움직인다. 전문가들은 자연 자체의 권리에 대하여 설명한다.

우리는 감정을 표현하는 새로운 식물 종류들 - 소위 심장 나무 - 에 대하여 상상해 볼 수 있다. 마치 인간의 감정과 식물의 새로운 조합인 것처럼, 심장 모양의 씨앗들이 싹트고 자랄 수 있다. 우리는 이 심장 나무들이 심지어 박동한다고 상상할 수 있다. 새로운 종류의 자연이 나타나고 있다.

It is an art installation named “Sprouted Heart - Tree Seeds”.

They are hybrid new species based on a mixture of human feelings with the capacity of nature to be reborn.

The three pieces display different stages of germination. These works combine a human heart, as it is usually represented, with a sprouted seed. Large branches or thin trees emerge from inside the cement seeds, looking as a new tree specimen.

Human feelings are sprouting in the seeds of the new era trees.

Many scientists investigate the feelings of plants:how they react to changes in climate, soil, water, on the planet; how they can communicate with each other as a community in a non human language. Some trees move their roots to join or separate from others. Specialists explain about the rights of Nature itself.

We can imagine these new plant species that express their feelings, like these so called Heart trees. Heart shaped seeds can sprout and grow, like a new assemblage between human feelings and plants. We could imagine that the Heart trees can even beat. A new kind of Nature is emerging.
