​<지구의 알들의 비 Rain of Earth's Eggs> 

네 개의 TPC 플라스틱 튜브를 6m 길이의 쇠 막대기들과 연결해서 각기 색이 다른 피라미드 세 개가 형성된다. TPC 관들은 인간의 행위들이 연결될 수 있도록 하는 지하의 연결망을 의미한다. 이 세 개의 피라미드 색은 지하 연결망의 여러 영역에서의 에너지 교환을 상징한다. 붉은색은 전기 에너지, 푸른색은 물, 노란색은 가스를 의미한다.

세 개의 피라미드는 똑같은 수직축을 가지고 있고, 높이는 각각 3m, 4m, 5m이다. 3m 높이의 피라미드는 노란색이고, 밑변은 직경 8m의 원이다. 5m 높이의 피라미드는 빨간색이고, 밑변은 직경 5m의 원이다. 4m 높이의 피라미드는 푸른색이고, 밑변은 직경 2m의 원이다. (직경 12mm) 쇠막대는 땅에 묻어둔 0.5m 철관에 연결되어 땅에 붙인다. 36개의 플라스틱 관들은 쇠막대보다는 길다. 플라스틱 관의 윗부분은 굽혀서 철선으로 땅에 연결된다. 그리고 각각의 위에는 세 개의 10cm 폴리스티렌 알들이 있다. 이 알들은 마치 대양과 대륙의 씨앗들처럼 모래, 색소, 풀로 칠해져 있으며, 알 모양의 행성 모양을 닮았다.

이 알들 사이에 있는 철선 위에 산탄(lead grains)으로 고정한 흰 깃털이 드문드문 푸른 페인트가 칠해진 채 함께 걸려 있다. 이들은 아주 작은 공기 흐름에도 회전할 수 있다.

이 설치 작품의 목적은 관람객에게 작품의 내부로 들어가 바람이 불면 여러 색의 플라스틱 튜브들이 흔들리고, 깃털들을 돌게 하는 «지구 알들의 비» 주변의 경치를 보도록 하는 것이다.

지구에 내릴 풍요의 비를 관찰하는 것처럼 보이고, 새로운 세상의 부화에 대한 약속처럼도 보인다.

Three color pyramids are formed by four tubes of TPC plastic threaded on 6m long iron bars and connected together by plastic links. The TPC(Cable Pipe) tubes materialize the underground links that allow human activities to be connected. By these three primary colors, they symbolize the exchanges of energies needed for the various areas of underground connections. Red for electric energy, blue for water and yellow for gas.

The three pyramids have the same vertical axis and their tops are 3, 4 and 5 meters high.

The 3m one is yellow and has a base circle of 8m in diameter, the 5m one is red and has a base circle of 5m in diameter and the blue one a base of 2m in diameter. Each iron rod (12mm in diameter) is attached to the ground by being threaded into a 0.5m iron tube embedded in the ground. The 36 plastic tubes are longer than the iron rods. Their upper ends are bent and connected to the ground by steel wires on which are threaded on each of them three 10cm polystyrene eggs. These eggs are painted with sand, pigments and glue, they resemble ovoid planisphere, like seeds of oceans and continents.

Between these eggs, white feathers spotted with blue paints are strung in the middle and held by lead grains pinched on the steel wires. They can turn at the slightest airflow.

The purpose of this installation is to invite the viewer to go back to the heart of the sculpture and look at the surrounding landscape through this «rain of earth's eggs» animated by the breath of the wind which makes the tubes of colors oscillate and turn the feathers. As if to observe a rain of fecundity that would come to sow the earth.

As the promise of a new world to hatch.
