<야생 정원의 여인 The Lady of the Wild Garden>

‘야생 정원의 여인’은 여러 해에 걸쳐 진화하는 작품이다.

마치 레이스처럼 나뭇가지들을 엮어서 빈 구조를 만들고, 작품의 발치에 덩굴식물을 심는다. 덩굴식물은 해가 지나며 구조물을 덮어간다.

‘야생 정원의 여인’은 사실 머리에 항아리를 이고 있는 여인의 모습을 형상화한 통로이다. 이 작품은 기후변화와 관련된 물 문제, 그리고 이 시대에 인간의 행위와 비행위를 거론한다.

통로 안에 들어가면 우리는 둥근 공간 속에서 하늘로 시선을 돌려 잠시 명상의 시간을 가질 수 있다. 하늘을 보면서 우리는 우리 존재들의 하찮음, 그리고 자연의 위대함을 생각해 볼 수 있다.

‘야생 정원의 여인’ 꼭대기에는 주황색의 새들이 왕관 형태를 이루고 있다. 이 새들은 우리의 시선을 사로잡는다.

The lady of the wild garden is a work of art that evolves over the years.

It is made in a transparent structure by weaving branches just like lace.

Climbing plants are planted at the foot of the work. These plants invade gradually the form of the artwork in the following years.

The lady of the wild garden is actually a gateway in the form of a female figure carrying a bowl on her head. The artwork refers to the problem of water in relation to climate change and the actions or inactions of humanity in this era.

Inside the gateway we can turn our gaze to the sky and experience a moment of contemplation in an intimate round space. The look at the sky invites us to contemplate our insignificance and the grandeur of nature.

On the top of The lady of the wild garden, orange birds form a crown.

They attract subtly our attention.
