<곰 아줌마 Antie Bear>

설화와 전설은 어디서 오는가? 이런 설화와 전설은 오늘날의 삶과 얼마나 멀리 떨어져 있는가? 나무꾼을 사랑한 곰 아줌마를 사람들은 어떻게 생각하는가? 사람들은 이 전해오는 이야기들을 마음 속에 두며, 이런 설화는 역사를 지나는 긴 여행이다; 마치 나의 작품으로 재탄생되기 이전의 자전거 바퀴들이 달려온 수 천 킬로미터와 같은 것이다.

Where do fairy tales and legends come from? How far are they from our today's life? And what is the feeling of an Auntie Bear who has fallen in love with a wood chopper? People carry all folk stories in their hearts and it is a long journey through the history; just like thousands of kilometers which these bicycle rings have cycled on roads before I recycled them in my sculpture.
