<곤충과 대화하기 Dialogue with Insect>

나는 2023년부터 곤충과 대화를 시도하였다.

심리학 용어인 <미러링 이펙트>를 기반으로 대화 방식을 서로 따라하는 형태라고 정의했다.

주로 먹이로 유도하여 그것을 따라 움직이는 곤충의 모습들을 대화의 방식으로 인정하고 프로젝트를 진행했다. 특히 곤충이 잎에 그린 형태는 마치 특정 언어를 품고 있는 것 같다.

그 과정을 미학적으로 바라보고, 우리가 어떤 지점에서 연결되었는지 생각한다.

이러한 형상을 통해 우리가 살아가기 위한 공생적 태도에 대해 말하고자 한다.

Since 2023, I’ve been attempting to communicate with insects.

Based on the psychological concept of the mirroring effect, I defined this dialogue as a form of following each other’s actions.

I guided the insects with food, interpreting the resulting shapes as a form of dialogue.

The patterns insects create on leaves, in particular, seem to carry a certain language.

I observe this process aesthetically and reflect on the points at which we are connected.

Through these forms, I aim to speak about the symbiotic attitude necessary for coexistence.
