이 작품은 조각된 나무와 귀리를 닮은 깎은 풀을 조합하여 만들었다. 나무에는 배와 그 그림자가 새겨져 있다. 배는 흔히 자유나 구원으로 상징되며, 삶을 통과해 나간다는 보편적인 상징성을 지닌다. 귀리처럼 보이는 풀은 나의 정원에서 깎아낸 풀이다.

Ships and their reflections are carved in the wood. The symbolism of the ship is often associated with freedom or salvation. It has a universal symbolism of passing through life. The grass that looks like oats is the cut grass from my garden.
