<머물렀던 자리 A Place Once Stayed>

의자는 인간의 몸을 받아내며 시간을 견딘다.

수많은 사람이 머물고 떠나는 동안 표면은 닳고, 구조는 미세하게 흔들리며, 형태는 조금씩 변해간다.

마치 나무가 나이테를 만들고 바위가 바람과 비를 견디며 풍화되듯, 의자 역시 시간이 남긴 흔적을 몸에 새긴다. 나는 사람이 떠난 뒤에도 그 자리에 남아 있는 시간과 기억을 따라가고자 했다.

머물렀던 자리는 비어 있지만, 그곳에는 사람의 흔적과 시간의 결이 남아 있으며, 시간은 지금도 조용히 그 자리를 지나고 있다.

The chair endures time while receiving the human body. 

As countless people stay and leave, its surface wears down, its structure slightly sways, and its form changes bit by bit. 

Just as a tree forms growth rings and a rock weathers while enduring wind and rain, the chair also carves the traces left by time into its body. 

I intended to follow the time and memories that remain in that place even after the person has left. 

The place where they stayed is empty, but the traces of the person and the texture of time remain there, and time is still quietly passing through that place.
