<드루안티아 Druantia>

“드루안티아 (Druantia)”는 내면의 숲으로 향하는 하나의 창이다. 유일하게 열린 틈을 통해 안을 들여다보면, 조명이 비치는 작은 안식처 안에 나의 '생태계의 수호자(The Guardians of the Ecosystem)' 시리즈 중 하나인 여신상이 자리하고 있다. 

나는 신화와 전설을 먹고 자란 우리 안의 아이를 깨우기 위해 그 영혼의 창을 두드린다. 이 작은 창은 도시의 시선을 향해 햇살을 받아들이라고 요청한다. 

여기서 햇살은 단순한 낮의 빛이 아니라, 자연을 사랑하고 나아가 자연을 보호할 수 있을 만큼 가까이에서 들여다보는 행위 그 자체이다.

Druantia is a window onto an inner forest. Lean in through its single aperture: lit within, a miniature sanctuary holds the goddess, guardian from my series The Guardians of the Ecosystem. 

I knock on the window of one's soul to awaken the child in us, once raised on myth and legend. 

This small window asks the urban gaze to let the sunlight in — not as daylight alone, but as the act of looking closely enough to love nature, and so protect it."
