<뿌리 Roots>

<Roots>는 아마 섬유와 카시아(계피나무 껍질) 등 유기 재료와 석고를 결합해 만든 조각 작품으로, 자연과 부패의 얽힘을 탐구한다.

거칠고 섬유질의 표면과 견고한 형태는 연약함과 영속성 사이의 긴장감을 드러내며, 땅에 깊이 뿌리내린 듯한 물리적·은유적 연결을 표현한다.

Roots is a sculptural work that explores the entanglement of nature and decay. Organic materials such as linen fiber and cassia are combined with plaster, forming a compact and complex cube.

 The interplay between the rough, fibrous surface and the solid mass highlights the tension between fragility and permanence. 

The piece evokes a sense of rootedness both literal and metaphorical suggesting a deep connection to the earth.
