「크랩스(Craps)」는 카지노의 주사위 게임에서 제목을 차용한 조각 작품으로, 동시대 문명을 움직이는 주요 에너지원인 석유에서 추출된 재료들로 제작되었다. 

이 작품은 석유를 단순히 자본주의를 움직이는 순환적 연료가 아니라, 지구의 깊은 시간을 품은 물질적 흔적으로 바라본다. 

이를 통해 도시화된 문명, 자연, 그리고 인간을 잇는 생태적 순환이 결국 운명적인 주사위 던지기와도 같은 우연과 필연의 관계 속에서 전개되고 있음을 제안한다.

“Craps” is a sculptural work that borrows its title from a casino dice game, crafted from materials extracted from petroleum, a primary energy source driving contemporary civilization. 

This work views petroleum not merely as a circulatory fuel that powers capitalism, but as a material trace holding the earth's deep time.

Through this, it suggests that the ecological cycle connecting urbanized civilization, nature, and humanity is unfolding within a relationship of chance and inevitability, much like a fateful roll of the dice.
