모든 존재가 낡아지고 사라지는 자연의 흐름 속에서, 나는 물질이 완전히 무너지기 직전의 아슬아슬한 순간에 멈춤 버튼을 건다. 

불에 검게 탄 나무와 녹슨 금속은 소멸의 흔적이 아닌, 온 힘을 다해 자신을 증명하는 물질의 '마지막 표정'이다. 

이 짧고 찬란한 찰나를 붙잡아 둠으로써, 눈에 보이지 않는 시간의 흐름과 그 사이에 존재하는 팽팽한 고요함을 시각화한다.

 빠르게 흘러가는 세상 속에서 관객이 이 멈춰진 작품에 시선을 머무는 순간, 우리는 잊고 지내던 존재의 소중함과 가치를 비로소 조용히 나누게 된다.

In the natural flow where all existence grows old and fades away, I press the pause button at the precarious moment just before matter completely collapses. 

The charred wood and rusted metal are not traces of extinction, but the 'final expression' of matter proving itself with all its might.

 By capturing this short and brilliant instant, I visualize the invisible flow of time and the tense silence that exists within it. 

As the audience lets their gaze linger on this paused work in a fast-paced world, we finally share the preciousness and value of existence that we had forgotten.

PSL 공학목재 / 규격화된 PSL 공학목재를 해체·재구성한 뒤, 표면을 강렬하게 연소시키는 탄화 기법을 사용하였다. 불길이 남긴 검은 균열의 틈새마다 철타카심을 박아 넣음으로써, 물질이 소멸해 가는 과정 한가운데에 조용히 제동을 걸고 팽팽한 고요함의 압력을 정착시켰다
