<도시 표현의 생태학 Ecologies of Urban Expression>

“도시 표현의 생태학 (Ecologies of Urban Experssion)”은 현대 도시에서 나오는 재료들로 자연을 다시 바라보는 작업이다. 

버려진 냉장고 부품, 포스터, 잡지, 종이 등 도시 쓰레기들을 모아 만들었다. 

이 작품은 티모시 모턴의 '자연 없는 생태학'이라는 개념을 빌려, 과연 '자연'과 '사람이 만든 도시'를 엄격히 구분할 수 있는지 질문을 던진다. 

겉의 큐브 모양은 우리가 흔히 생각하는 자연을 상징하고, 그 안의 원뿔 모양은 도시에서의 경험과 복잡하게 얽힌 우리의 정체성을 보여준다.

"Ecologies of Urban Expression" reimagines nature through the material ecology of the contemporary city. 

Constructed from discarded refrigerator coils, posters, magazines, papers, and urban waste, 

the work draws on Timothy Morton’s Ecology without Nature to question the paradox between nature and the built environment. 

The cube references conventional notions of nature, while the enclosed cone reflects identities shaped by urban experience and ecological entanglement.
