<향광성(向光性) Phototropism>

“향광성 (Phototropism)”은 도시 아파트라는 건축적 제약 속에서 빛을 갈망하는 자연의 생물학적 충동을 시각화한다. 

12cm 크기의 수제 종이 큐브에 뚫린 열린 면은 도시의 창틀처럼 기능하며, 매일 변화하는 햇살을 사적인 공간 안으로 불러들인다. 

내부에는 가느다란 철사에 매달린 야생 건조 엉겅퀴가 배치되어 있으며, 이들은 생명의 근원인 빛을 향해 몸을 뻗고 구부러지는 찰나의 상태를 보여준다.

Phototropism visualizes the biological impulse of nature seeking light within the architectural confines of a city apartment.

The open face of the 12cm handmade paper cube functions as an urban window frame, welcoming shifting daily sunbeams into a private interior. 

Inside, wild dried thistles are suspended on delicate wires, captured in a state of stretching and bending toward this vital light source.
