<틈 Interstice>

“틈(Interstice)”은 벽이 숨 쉬는 법을 배운 작은 공간이며, 풀이 조용히 머무는 곳이다. 

이 작품은 피난처와 상처, 그리고 사용의 기억들을 보존하는 동시에, 뚫린 틈들을 통해 폐쇄된 공간을 공유의 공간으로 변화시킨다. 

질문은 이것이다. 인공적인 구조물은 외부가 그 안에서 뿌리 내릴 수 있도록 어디까지 자신의 경계를 확장해야 하는가?

Interstice is a small space whose walls have learned to breathe, and where grass has become a silent inhabitant. 

It preserves memories of refuge, damage, and use, while the openings transform the enclosed space into a shared space. 

The question is: to what extent must a man-made structure expand its boundaries so that the outside can take root within?

Patinated black steel, Fully cured hand-cast bio-based polymer / Bioplastic panels, Preserved, Stabilized dried grass elements, Metal and wood glue. 

(All elements are dry, Non-living, Stabilized, Fixed to the artwork. The work contains no live plants, Soil, Roots, Animal bones, Food materials, Loose untreated natural matter. The dried grass elements are preserved decorative botanical material and are not intended for planting or propagation.)
