<실버타인 (무한한 계단)> Silvertine (Infinite Staircase)

〈실버타인 (무한한 계단)〉​은 가상의 자연을 향한 몰입형 창을 구현하는 디지털 조각이자 사운드 아트 작품이다. 이 작품은 유기적 형태와 광물적 풍경이 결합된 가상의 세계를 시각과 소리로 탐험한다. 

빛은 비인간적 행위자로서 물질화되며, 식물의 형태를 연상시키는 나선형 구조를 만들어낸다. 카메라는 짙은 청색과 녹색, 은빛과 금빛의 섬광이 교차하는 색채의 ‘토끼굴’을 따라 아래로 내려가고, 이내 빛은 가라앉으며 형태를 비물질적인 상태로 되돌린다. 

빛이 물러나는 순간, 작은 발광이 어둠 속에서 떠다니는 빛나는 고치들을 드러낸다. 그것들은 아직 도래하지 않은 세계의 씨앗처럼 나타난다.

작품은 끊임없이 반복되는 루프 구조로 전개되며, 지표와 심연 사이를 잇는 무한한 계단을 연상시킨다. 사운드트랙은 가공된 목소리의 질감으로 구성되어 있으며, 〈실버타인〉의 영적인 존재처럼 기능한다. 말이 없는 목소리는 빛의 동굴 깊은 곳에서 속삭이듯 울려 퍼지며, 관람객을 감각적 회복의 경험으로 이끈다.

구 양조장의 산업적 공간에 설치된 이 작품은 도시의 회색 풍경과 빛을 머금은 추상적 자연의 재생적 힘을 대비시킨다. 이를 통해 관람객이 자신의 지각이라는 창을 통해 그 빛을 ‘들여오도록’ 초대한다.

Silvertine (Infinite Staircase) is a digital sculpture and sound art installation that constructs an immersive window into an imagined nature. 

The work proposes a visual and sonic journey through an organic-mineral landscape: rock-like structures where light, acting as a non-human agent, materializes into spirals reminiscent of vegetal forms. The camera descends through a chromatic "rabbit hole" — deep blues, greens, silver and gold flashes — until the light sinks and dematerializes the shapes. At the moment of retreat, small irradiations reveal luminous cocoons, seeds of a possible world, floating in the darkness.

The artwork unfolds in a perpetual loop, suggesting an infinite staircase between surface and depth. The soundtrack, constructed from processed vocal textures, acts as the sonic spirit of Silvertine: a wordless voice whispering from the caverns of light, enveloping the viewer in an experience of sensory restoration. 

Installed within the industrial space of the former brewery, the piece contrasts urban grayness with the regenerative power of a luminous, abstract nature, inviting the audience to "let in" that light through the window of their perception.
