<나는 너를 모른다 — 비축된 타자> I Don't Know You — Standing-Reserve: The Other

본 작업은 자연에서 버려진 나뭇가지를 수습하여 인간의 규격으로 재조립하는 과정을 통해, 대상이 ‘비축물(Bestand)’로 환원되는 시스템의 폭력성을 드러낸다. 수습된 나무는 절단되고 직선으로 교정되어 금속 비계 프레임 안에 적재된다. 전면의 네온 텍스트는 인위적인 시스템의 낙인이며, 화려한 빛 아래에서 나무는 마치 도살된 지육처럼 실체적 생명력을 잃고 진열된 오브제가 된다. 이는 자연을 도구화하는 인간의 오만에 대한 고백이자, 규격화된 허상 뒤에 가려진 타자의 본질을 향한 질문이다.

This work reveals the violence of the system in which objects are reduced to 'standing-reserve' (Bestand) by collecting discarded tree branches from nature and reassembling them into human-defined standards. 

The collected wood is cut, straightened, and stacked within a metal scaffolding frame. The neon text on the front acts as a stigma of this artificial system; under its brilliant light, the wood loses its genuine vitality, becoming an object displayed 

like a slaughtered carcass. This is a confession of human arrogance in instrumentalizing nature, as well as a question directed toward the essence of the 'Other' hidden behind a standardized facade.
