<꽃줄> Flower Line

본 작업은 다양한 흙으로 빚은 꽃의 모듈을 반복하고 축적하여 공간을 가로지르는 커튼의 형태로 확장한 설치 작업이다. 작은 꽃들은 하나의 생명 단위이자 시간과 기억의 조각으로, 수십, 수백 개가 수직으로 쌓이며 하나의 장(場)을 형성한다.

작업은 기둥에서 시작되었다. 반복되는 손의 노동이 만든 축적은 점차 공간을 요구했고, 작가는 이를 관람자가 통과할 수 있는 커튼의 형태로 확장하였다. 위에서 아래로 갈수록 느슨해지는 구조는 작은 접촉에도 흔들리며, 고정과 유동, 존재와 소멸 사이의 

상태를 드러낸다.

관람자가 꽃 사이를 지날 때 발생하는 흔들림은 공간 전체로 퍼지고, 작품은 고정된 조각에서 벗어나 몸과 시간, 공간의 관계 속에서 완성되는 장치가 된다. 커튼은 나누면서도 닫지 않고, 가리면서도 드러낸다. 작가는 이러한 열린 경계를 통해 서로 명확히 구분되지 않는 것들 사이의 미묘한 상태와 따뜻한 애매함을 이야기하고자 한다.

This installation takes the form of a curtain extending across the space, created through the repetition and accumulation of flower modules made from various types of earth and clay. Each flower represents a unit of life and a fragment of time 

and memory. As dozens or hundreds of flowers are stacked vertically, they form a spatial field.

The work began as a column. Through repetitive handwork, accumulation gradually demanded more space, leading the artist to transform the vertical structure into a curtain that viewers can pass through. As the structure becomes less dense toward the bottom, it responds to the slightest touch with gentle movement, revealing a state between stability and fluidity, presence and disappearance.

As viewers pass through the flowers, their bodies come into contact with the work, causing movement to spread throughout the space. The work is therefore not a fixed sculpture but a spatial experience completed through the relationship between body, time, and space. The curtain divides without closing and conceals while revealing. Through this open boundary, the artist seeks to address the subtle states and warm ambiguity between things that are not clearly distinguished from 

one another.
