‘볕뉘’는 나뭇잎 사이로 아른거리며 출렁이는 햇살을 뜻하는 순우리말이다. 옛 조상들은 이 조용한 빛을 만물을 키워내는 하늘의 은혜이자 공덕이라 여겼다.

하나의 작은 씨앗이 오직 빛과 물, 그리고 흙의 보살핌 속에서 웅장한 대자연으로 피어나는 과정은 그 자체로 자연이 보여주는 가장 순수한 경이이다. 본 작품은 나뭇잎 틈새를 가득 채우는 볕뉘의 찰랑임을 통해, 생명을 숨 쉬게 하는 자연의 위대한 섭리와 

그 경건한 아름다움을 담아내고자 했다.
