<새벽은 언제나 가능하다: 해뜨는 실내의 하늘> The Dawn is Always Possible: an Indoor Sky at Sunrise

〈새벽은 언제나 가능하다: 해뜨는 실내의 하늘〉은 감 탄닌, 로열 로그우드 안료, 오크 갤, 철액으로 처리한 구름 형태의 조각을 매달아 구성한 작품이다. 작품은 차가운 회색에서 따뜻한 호박색, 선명한 흰색에 이르기까지 다양한 색조를 띤다.

새벽의 가장 장엄한 순간 중 일부는 폭풍이 오기 직전이나 지나간 직후에 찾아온다. 폭풍의 짙은 보랏빛과 검은빛 사이로 호박색의 햇살이 스며들 때, 그러한 순간은 특히 장엄한 모습을 보여준다. 현재의 불안정한 날씨와 혼란스럽고 급변하는 정치적 상황 

속에서, 나는 이러한 시대적 상황을 작품의 색조에 담아내는 동시에 새로운 새벽이 가져오는 희망과 평온, 그리고 새로운 새벽에 대한 약속을 담은 작품을 만들고자 했다.

이러한 의미에서 이 작품은 비엔날레의 주제인 ‘도시자연미술: 나의 창에 햇볕을 드리워줘’에 직접적으로 응답한다.

The Dawn is Always Possible: an Indoor Sky at Sunrise is composed of suspended sculptural cloud forms treated with persimmon tannin, royal Logwood pigment, oak gall, and iron liquor. The forms range in tone from cool gray to warm amber to stark white. Some of the most majestic moments of dawn come just before or after a storm, when amber beams of light drift through the purple-blacks of the storm. Given the current moment of unsettled weather and a chaotic and volatile 

political climate, I intended to make a work that acknowledges the moment in its hues, but also brings the hope, calm, and promise of a new dawn. In this way, the work responds directly to the Biennale's theme, Urban Nature Art: Let the 

Sunlight in through My Window.
