<게이트> Gate

문은 공간과 공간을 연결하는 통로이다. 문이 열리면 사람과 사람, 자연과 인간 사이에 만남이 이루어질 수 있다. 열린 문은 이러한 정신적·정서적 개방을 상징하며, 빛이 마음과 영혼 안으로 들어오도록 한다.

이 작품은 동일한 크기와 형태의 두 조각을 서로 마주 보게 배치한 자연미술 설치 작품이다. 트란실바니아에서는 이러한 형태를 전통적으로 ‘세케이 게이트(Székely Gate, 전통 목조 문기둥)’라 부른다. 두 조각 사이의 공간은 열린 문의 공간을 이루며, 이를 통해 작품의 내부로 들어가거나 작품 안에서 잠시 머물 수 있다. 작품은 도시의 공공 공간 속에 자연스럽게 스며들어 자리한다.

Gates are passages between spaces. When they are open, encounters can take place between person and person, between nature and human beings. The open gate symbolizes this spiritual and emotional openness — allowing light to enter the mind and the soul.

The work is a nature-art installation consisting of two sculptures of identical size and form, positioned opposite one another. In Transylvania, such forms are traditionally referred to as “gate idols(Székely Gate).“ The space between the two 

sculptures constitutes the open space of the Gate — a threshold through which one can enter the inner space, or simply pause for a moment within the space of the work. The work organically integrates itself into the public space of the city.
